Artist Dean Crouser says, “I am always striving to say the most with the least.” His distinctive collection of home accents features his skilled watercolors with vibrant botanical, equine, floral or songbird motifs. He adds, “My goal is to capture the beauty and simplicity of a scene in a manner that people haven’t seen before.” Dean was born and raised in Oregon. There, he spent his summers camping and fishing in the foothills of Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge and the Central Oregon High Lakes. His adventurous childhood fostered a love of the outdoors, apparent in the expressions of his art. Dean describes his process, saying he prefers his work to be “loose and spontaneous." A true master of watercolor, he translates his artistry by infusing charm into everyday objects. A master of multiple trades, Dean is also known as a star of track and field. A three-time NCAA champion, he holds records in discus and shot put at the University of Oregon and is honored in the school.
