Spring is most people’s favorite time of the year. It certainly is here at Garden Specialties. We are very excited about all of our new items which seem to be arriving daily! Spring is considered to be the time of renewal, rebirth, and reawakening. This is also where this season got its name, as it does reflect a "springing" up of plants   and the migration of birds. In Connecticut many people consider the sighting of a Robin as their sign that spring is here.  To celebrate that thought (or sighting) consider our metal Robin on a stake in your garden.

Spring is also the time to plant your seeds.  At Garden Specialties we sell Botanical Interest seeds.  These seeds are the highest quality avaiable. Their standards are higher then the national standards, and the germination level is tested. The seed packets are eye catching, and merges art, gardeneing and science inspiring each of us to be a better gardener. Spring also makes us think about outdoor activities, like baseball and kite flying. I like kites as they are colorful and fun to fly. It is this fondness that attracted me to this set of metal kites that can be used in your garden on a stake, hung on an outside wall or even in a child’s bedroom. They are just cheerful!

Spring is also the time we start planing our outdoor spaces. Whether it is a flower garden or a patio, we are anticiapting spending more of our time outdoors.  Outdoor spaces are added rooms to our homes. We often entertain or dine in these spaces. Therefore it is improtant that we plan these areas just as we would a room inside our house. There are so many possibilities! One item that I have been asked about many times over, is a solar fountain. Many spaces that warrant a fountain do not have electricity. At Garden Specialties we have found a solar fountain that we feel has enough power to move the water and sound great. Up until now I couldn’t find solar fountains that did more then trickle. This addition to your outside space will both look and sound great. There is nothing quite as relaxing as the sound of water. Ths is especially nice on your deck or patio.

Spring is also Easter and Mothers Day. Time to get Mom that speacial gift. Garden Specialties has many things that Mom would love. One of our most popular items this year is this fairy that can be used outdoors or in. She is absolutely beatiful! Mom is certain to love her!

We have a cute gift for Easter too. The George Carruth Studios has come out with a miniture series. They are incedibly adorable. His floppy eared bunny would make a cute gift.
